Abstract

The ARGESIM benchmark C22 ’Non-standard Queuing Policies’ deals with queueing systems, where entities can leave a queue in a dynamically changed order. It is solved here with MatlabGPSS, a Matlab-based implementation of the well-known GPSS modeling language. Though quite old, it still has its merits, such as precisely defined and flexible methods to deal with concurrent events and the concept of user chains, which are more flexible than standard queueing blocks.
