Abstract

SimEvents – as a simulation tool for general purpose discrete-event simulation – is well-suited for simulating manufacturing systems. The model can be build up individually and at any level of detail using a variety of simple standard blocks. With predefined strategies the process flow can be controlled locally. If more complex control is required, SimEvents can be extended by Stateflow using state charts.
